Happy Friday the 13th!

Celebrate Friday the 13th watching scary movies. Movies TV Network is airing Friday the 13th movies to honor our only Friday the 13th in 2014. Too bad Hollywood is not releasing a horror movie today.

It would be awesome to watch movies like The Conjuring and Insidious Chapter II. We await the release of Deliver Us From Evil on July, 2, 2014, an exorcist movie directed by Scott Derrickson and starring Eric Bana, Olivia Munn and Edgar Ramirez.

Insidious Chapter 2 went into wild release on Friday the 13th

Insidious Chapter 2 is not scary at all. The sequel functioned as a backstory vehicle to explain the original. Even though moviegoers were screaming up a storm, we never felt the scares were worthy of the original. However, watching Insidious Chapter 2 on Friday the 13th is a cool experience since frightened movie fans add excitement and create an ambience unlike a matinee.

Insidious Chapter 2 opens in 1986. We see a young Josh learning of his astral projection abilities. He discovers that an old woman in black is haunting his dreams, where she resides in Josh's closet to prey on a vulnerable victim.

At times, I found various parts of the movie to be cheesy. I didn't feel the same intensity as the original movie. It makes sense to release a chapter 2 to explain the first movie. Moviegoers responded well to the Insidious sequel, so James Wan managed to piece together a good movie.
